Publication size of the Travel Resource Guide is 6 1/8” x 9 1/2”.
Publication size of the Seasonal eSupplement is 8 1/2” x 11 ”.
Supplied Digital Files
If you will be providing artwork, please provide in digital format, ready for output. Files should be prepared to size using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or PageMaker and saved in PC format or in plate-ready high resolution PDF format. All four-color images should be saved as process CMYK (not RGB) format. Include all type font files and linked images in submission. Ads may be provided on Zip® (100MB) cartridges or on CD. For bleed ads (available with full page ads only), add 1/8" trim to sides and keep live matter 3/16" away from edge. Color proofs must accompany the disk along with all software information. Advertiser takes full responsibility for the accuracy of supplied files. All files not supplied electronically will be scanned and/or recreated by Publisher and production charges may be assessed accordingly. Art will be published as submitted. Backyard Excursions and its publisher Avanti Group assumes no liability for copy errors.
Camera-Ready Artwork
If you wish to include photos or logos, please submit a high resolution electronic image (300dpi), 35mm photo or color brochure. If you wish photo to be returned, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Composition Services
Avanti Group may, at its discretion, create advertising artwork. Advertising copy created by Backyard Excursions remains the property of Backyard Excursions and its publisher Avanti Group.
Premium Positions
Premium positions are not cancelable at any time and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for preferred positions other than premium position will be honored as space is available. A 10% surcharge will be accessed. All other ad placement is at the discretion of publisher.
Cancellations
No cancellations or changes in order will be accepted after space reservation deadline. All cancellations must be in writing. All orders discontinued before completion of contract will be billed at short rates for space used.
Proofs to Advertisers
Proofs of publication-set advertisements will be sent to advertiser or agency upon request at an additional charge.
Payment Terms
You will be invoiced for first insertion upon receipt of contract. Invoices are due net 30 and payable in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank. A 1½% per month interest charge will be added on accounts 30 days or older. Invoices for subsequent issues will be invoiced 75 days prior to publication, net 30. Publisher looks to the Advertising Agency placing the insertion for payment; however, Publisher shall have the right to hold the Advertising Agency and the Advertiser jointly and severally liable for the monies due and payable to Publisher, and the Agency warrants by submitting the insertion order that it and the Advertiser have accepted this responsibility. Publisher will not be bound by conditions, printed or otherwise, when such conditions conflict with its policies.
Ad Agency Commission
All prices quoted are net. Ad agency commissions are not included in quoted prices.
Errors in Order
Failure of Advertiser or Advertising Agency to make an insertion order correspond in price to specification with the scheduled rate will be regarded as a clerical error and their advertisement will be published and charged according to the terms of the schedule in force without further notice.
Copy and Content
All copy subject to Publisher’s approval. The Publisher reserves the right to refuse any advertising which, in their opinion, does not conform to the standards of the publication. Advertiser and Advertising Agency assume liability for the content of their advertisements (including text, representations and illustrations) and also assume responsibility for any claims made against the Publisher and agree to indemnify the Publisher against any expense or loss suffered by reason of such claims.
Changes to Specification & Rates
Backyard Excursions and its publisher Avanti Group reserves the right to change offerings and pricing at any time without notice.
Hold Harmless
Advertiser agrees to indemnify and hold Backyard Excursions and its publisher Avanti Group harmless against any losses, liability, damage, expense of whatever nature arising out of copy, printing, publishing and distributing of advertising. The fulfilling of this order is subject to delays caused by fires, strikes, accidents, government relations and causes beyond the control of the publisher.
Storage of Materials
Materials will be stored by the Publisher for one year and then destroyed unless Advertiser or Agency instructs otherwise in writing.

A 10% discount is available to recognized educational organizations.
