Charity Island Lighthouse Dinner Cruise Take a fabulous dinner-cruise to picturesque Big Charity Island.
3660 E. Huron Your journey to the Charity Island begins when you board the 50-foot ferryboat at the Northport Marina in Au Gres, Michigan where you will enjoy appetizers and complimentary beverages during the 45-minute, 12 mile trip to the beautiful 300-acre island lying in the middle of the Saginaw Bay. Upon arriving at the island, guests are treated to a lively discussion of the island’s archeological site and maritime history before taking the short hike to the light keepers home for a delightful dinner served on the deck surrounding the home. Tours of the home are given after dinner before heading back to the boat for the return trip, which is timed to catch the sunset halfway back to the Northport Marina. Dessert and coffee are served on the way back which includes a slight detour by Gravelly Shoals for those who wish to take pictures of the lighthouse.
