Step back into time and tour the USS Silversides SS-236, a WWII submarine and the USCGC McLane W-146, a Prohibition-Era Coast Guard Cutter. The Great Lakes Naval Memorial and Museum features a maritime museum and gift shop and is located on the south side of the channel wall near beautiful Lake Michigan. Be sure to take advantage of the many different programs and special events. Events may include an overnight encampment program, school and group tours, reunions, memorial services and US Navy Sea Cadet training programs. Group tours are for groups of 15 or more. Please call at least three days in advance to schedule. Please call ahead for off-season group and walk-thru tours.
