Muskegon Museum of Art A large collection of traditional and contemporary visual arts. 296 W. Webster Ave., Muskegon, MI 49440
The Muskegon Museum of Art strives to create dynamic, proactive tours and programs to act as a vital educational resource to persons of all ages throughout the region. Guided tours are offered to eight or more people by the experienced docents. Self-guided tours are permitted, however, these should also be scheduled with the tour coordinator to avoid over-crowding in the galleries. Many education, fun and interesting programs, exhibitions and classes are planned for each month. Several free programs geared towards families are available, visit their web site to view the calendar or call for information. Some classes have a fee and require registration. Visit the museum shop where you will find jewelry, art by regional and national artists, posters of works in the museum's collection, mugs, T-shirts, sweatshirts, cards, gift items, museum catalogs and books! The Museum Store also carries a variety of children's educational toys, books and games. The Education Department is pleased to provide a variety of materials found in the Educator Resources Library. Materials are available for a loan period of five days. Please phone 231.720.2587 for more information or to request an item.
