Sauder Village Interact with history brimming with the stories, sights and sounds of a century ago. 22611 State Route 2, Archbold, OH 43502 There's no time like the present to ...HAVE FUN IN THE PAST! From the sheep shearing and planting in the spring to harvesting and preserving in the fall, every day at Historic Sauder Village is unique and special! Interact with history brimming with the stories, sights and sounds of a century ago. Experience history up close as costumed staff lead activities and demonstrations of daily rural life in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Depending on the day and season, your visit may include demonstrations of old printing techniques, samples of a 19th century recipe, hymn singing or a chance to taste a homemade pickle or help with food preparation. The craft buildings and studios are home to several nationally recognized craftsmen working with traditional crafts in both historic and modern interpretations. With daily displays of their skills, these artisans perpetuate American craftsmanship right in front of your eyes. The Sauder Heritage Inn is a 35-room country inn. The massive timbers of the lobby, enhanced by the hand-forged lamps and railings created by then-Village blacksmith Mike Bendele, are spectacular. Each of the over-sized rooms feature two queen or one king-sized bed, a recliner, small refrigerator and coffee pot. The Sauder Village Campground, just south of the Historic Sauder Village, offers 37 campground sites. 2007 Historic Village Admission Rates: Adult: $12.00; Seniors and AAA Members: $10.50; Student (6-16): $6.00; Children 5 and under free.
